How to Apply and Store Evolve Skincare

There is a short learning curve involved in learning to use moisturizers and serums that do not contain water or preservatives. When you receive your first order of either Skin-Rich, Skin-Love, and/or WINK, you will notice that the buttery moisturizers are very thick with WINK being a little bit looser in consistency for gentle application in the delicate eyelid area. This is because they are made with the most gorgeous, organic, and luscious butters and oils as well as with lovely, fragrant, organic beeswax added for richness and protection for your skin. Then there are the beautiful, Essential Oils as in any water-based, skincare product. Preservative-free, butter and oil-based Evolve Skincare has no water added. Consequently, you will need a lot less fresh product to moisturize your face. I recommend using a small, stainless-steel, makeup spatula (see the above photo) to remove an amount about half the size of a green pea for your entire face. I know that this is hard to believe but give it a try and see how little you actually need. “Less is more” is the axiom to follow when you use our products. Each freshly blended, 2-ounce jar is made to last you from 3-4 months depending on where you apply it. If applied just to your face it will last longer than if you also apply it to your neck and décolletage. Application recommendation is twice daily. Tip: If you find that you used a little too much on your face, you may either dab the excess off with a tissue or better still, spread the excess onto your neck and/or décolletage.

WINK Eye Moisturizer is made from precious oils that are safe to use around the entire eyelid area. WINK will nurture, sooth and protect this delicate skin region from dryness that creates fine lines and wrinkles. You will need very little of this product to cover both eyelids. Use the littlest amount that you can – less than a tiny dab – on each eyelid, top and bottom. If your eyelid region is very dry, try applying a tiniest bit more, at a time, until you find the right amount for your eyelids. Application Recommendation: IF you do not use makeup during the day, I recommend using WINK Eye Moisturizer twice daily on clean, dry, and toned skin in the morning and at bedtime. I recommend applying WINK once per day at bedtime if you intend to wear eye makeup during the day. Oils are what are used in formulating eye makeup removers – especially for the waterproof ones - and any applied eye makeup can smear as a result. So, if this is your preference, one application at night is enough. WINK will moisturize your eyelids, leaving them supple for applying makeup in the morning.

Tip: If you applied a little too much, try smoothing it on your lips as a special treatment just for them.

Evolve Skin Serums require a very light touch as well. Skin-Balance for Oily Skin types is used alone and will only require about three to four drops on your clean fingertips for your entire face. For only the oily T-zone for those of you with the combination skin type, you will need just one to two drops for this area. Skin-Balance Serum is formulated with drying oils that will absorb quickly and will not leave a greasy feel on your skin. The essential oils used in this beautiful product were formulated to help to clear and smooth your skin with its use over time.

The makeup spatula and palette combo are excellent accessories to own for a variety of uses. If you do not have a small, makeup refrigerator (also available on Amazon) to store your Evolve Skincare products where you apply on your skincare, I recommend storing them in your kitchen refrigerator. Refrigeration will make your moisturizers stay fresher and last longer. You can bring the palette and spatula to your kitchen frig, remove some moisturizer from the jar with the spatula, put it on the palette, and then take your small amount of product with you to your bedroom or bathroom for application. It’s, by far, the easiest solution I have found if you prefer to use your kitchen refrigerator for storing your Evolve Moisturizers. Depending on how cold your refrigerator is kept inside, you may or may not want to refrigerate Skin-Balance for Oily Skin Serum. Oils can harden if too cold and are difficult to get out of the dropper bottles if they do. Skin-Balance for Oily Skin Serumwill remain fresh for 4 months outside of the refrigerator, so this may be your better option. If you try refrigeration and it does harden, just let it sit at room temperature until it becomes liquid again before your use it.
